Hello, I am about at the same stage you are, Waggy axles with leafs up front. What did you use to weld your perch on the front cast center section?

am I right in assuming your using your stock LCA mounts? I cut mine off and am in the process of plating my frame up front to move the mount where I want. From what I have read about using that stock mount is its weak and they are angled in...just curious. Thanks!:chef:

I haven't welded the perches yet, just tacked. I was going to pull it back out after it was setup and have it welded by someone else. The Comanche LCA brackets are beefier than the Cherokee brackets so i'm going to go for it. Never heard anything about the brackets angled in, but you could be right. Starting the tear down tomorrow night so i'll be updating...

well mine has been sitting with no front axle, arms, or steering. I put the leaf springs in the LCA brackets and they angel in. Yes they will hold fine, and yes you can force them to be straight, but at the angel they sit, they will wear out your rear spring bushings very very fast. Just my understanding. Please post some more pics as you go and keep up the good work.

Dont use waggy springs. It pushes the axle to far forward. Rear axle was easy...

Front needs to come up 3"

Swapped out the waggy springs for RE YJ 2" SOA springs> To get the axle lined up i had to redrill the LCA brackets back 1.5".Redrilled the spring perches 1.25" forward. The brackets are angled out so be care to allow for that when redrilling.

Slid the rear axle back 1.25" and the drive shaft hooked up.

Steering wouldn't clear the springs. so....

Had to make spacers for the steering arms and some newspring plates.

Hoping to have it all done by friday night. I wanna take it out and play with it!!
