MN Land Rover Rally

The Minnesota Land Rovers are hosting our annual picnic and rally at the Gilbert OHV area in northern MN on August 11th. If you have been thinking about making it to northern MN this is a great excuse to do so.

There are also plans in the works for a multi day trip through the Superior National forest during the week running up to the event as well. Minnesota at it's best, should check it out!

That would be great. Love to get a joint event lined up in the future. Perhaps a nice neutral place like the UP

We're doing an overland style trip this Oct. Going to start somewhere in the UP and work our way down to the Lakewood, WI area via trails and forest roads. Don't have a specific route yet but you guys are welcome to come!

The idea is for us to drive straight up from the Chicago area to either the Porcupine Mountains or Pictured Rocks area. Just use highways and get there as quickly as possible. Once there we'll see some sights and start making our way towards the Lakewood, WI area. We'll have specific points of interest along the way, mainly nature related. The goal is to make our way starting in the UP, hitting these points, and ending in Lakewood by Saturday Oct. 13 using as little pavement as possible.

So the dates will probably be Oct 11-14. The guys from Chicago(or at least me will probably head up the afternoon/evening of the 10th though.
Once in Lakewood there are a lot of forest roads and a Pipeline trail that is fun to run.

SOOOOOO sorry to threadjack.
I really hope to make the MNLR event next year. I love meeting new Rover guys across the country, I think that's half the fun.

Wi trip

I agree, sounds like a great trip. Be sure to post more details as the date nears. Will have to see how the schedule planes out but it would be fun to see that area of the state and any time I can get to the UP life is good.
