Modifications for Hot Tropical Climates

For those of us who have Jeeps, I'm interested in what sort of modifications you have made for travelling in hot climates were the temperature can regularly go to over 100 degrees.?

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

Best mod is a well maintained cooling system, and as Dan mentioned, a fan for sleeping. I've dragged my trailer all over the Great Plains with my 26 year old Cherokee during the summer months and have had no issues, even when the temps pop out over 115.

You can add a water wetter to the radiator.

I've always liked the safari roof option that Land Rover had.
Seems like a good idea in humid conditions.

This? Its amazing how much of a difference a small fan can make when blowing down on your face while trying to sleep in hot weather.

Hi Dan, I bought a USB fan after hearing you talk about it in one of your videos. I used it often during my trip to Mazatlan, when I was waiting for the ferry in the 100 degree heat or taking shelter in a parking garage to get out of the sun several days later. The fan is one of the best items I brought with me on my trip.

While on the beach here in Texas in the fall when it isn't 100 but it is humid and warm, I've strung up a hammock inside the jeep with the windows cracked. Air underneath you and above you makes a good difference. But get screens to keep bugs out.
Also, when I camped in Big Bend in 100-deg weather in my roof top tent, two fans made all the difference; one on my face and another on my body/legs.

I'd be curious to try a swamp cooler though!
