Modified M416 trailer w/ 3+person RTT on raisable tent platform (Vermont) - $3800

Hello,

I've decided it's time to part ways with my modified M416 camping trailer. Since building it, I've used it for two summers. Selling only because I don't have the means to use this trailer as it should be (sold my FJ Cruiser).

Build notes:

1. Purchased used M416 with surface rust.
2. Professionally sandblasted & Epoxy Primed
3. Painted underside and tongue with POR15 bed liner
4. Painted remainder of trailer with POR15 FlexCote
5. Replaced axle with 64" hub face to hub face axle. Hub is 6 x 5.5" (Toyota / Chevy lug pattern).
6. Relocated fenders to match new axle width.
7. Replaced shocks w/ Rancho RS5000
8. Fabricated and installed steel lid with hinges and gas shocks
9. Replaced/reinforced existing tongue with 2" receiver tube that runs length of trailer
10. Fabricated tent platform with pop pins
11. Added rear drop legs
12. Installed Max Coupler (articulating offroad trailer coupler)
13. Installed 2,500 lb capacity tongue jack

The rooftop tent is a CVT Mt. Hood (3+ person tent). My wife and I have slept comfortably in this tent with our two kids. The tent dimensions are 72" x 96" open and 72" x 48" closed. The tent includes annex with floor.

Opportunities:

• Paint the tub with bed liner or similar
• Paint the underside of the lid.
• Improve the raising/lowering of tent platform. Currently I am using a pair of leveling jacks to accomplish this.

If the trailer sells without the tent, I'll list the tent in the appropriate forum on here. Until then, the tent will not be sold alone.
