Yes! I will have my first production prototype of the "Mojoe Sack" for viewing/touching/salivating at the Toys For Tots event at Camp Pendleton next weekend! I'll sell it off at the end of the weekend so if you want your name on it, let me know!

How much? If the price is right I'll take it off your hands. You can pm me.

Mojoe Outfitters Hosts Tots For Tots Potluck at Camp Pendleton Event

On the weekend of December 6, 2014, Mojoe Outfitters participated in a weekend camping event in support of the “Toys For Tots” charity managed by the US Marines. This event was held in the middle of Camp Pendleton Marine Base. The event was organized by Dave Druck from #Trasharoo and Dave Bennett of #American Adventurist. Over 100 people attended the charity campout.

A huge pile of donated toys was collected by US Marines in full dress uniforms. It was a very nice ceremony followed by a hot dog lunch for everyone cooked on Mojoe Griddles by Cam Stone and Kris Nelson of Mojoe Outfitters and a lot of help by several volunteers.

On Saturday evening, Mojoe Outfitters hosted a Mojoe Potluck dinner! Jon Nelson (www.productionhero.com ) graciously volunteered his time and considerable talents to design and construct an elaborate lighting rig over our campsite, setting up a beautiful ambiance for what turned out to be a wonderful evening with our fellow overlanders.

Mojoe Outfitters set up four Mojoe Griddles (two on Camp Chef stove burners and two on Weber BBQs) for the potluck and the folks brought their own food ingredients to cook for themselves on one of the various Mojoes! Mojoe Outfitters also cooked up some Mojoe Chili, Mama Sweety’s Tacos and Quesadillas.

Jon, who is a professional videographer, captured the whole thing with multiple cameras. The edited video will be released soon!

A good time was had by all! Here’s some pics:

First Buyers of the Mojoe Griddle

Dawn and Terese were the first to see the magic of the Mojoe Griddle and buy one for themselves a little over a year ago. They were so excited with their new found Mojoe that they posed for pictures:

Man this would make a great addition to my Discada as a multipurpose lid. I'll have to measure the distance between the handles to see if it would fit.

I may have to dig it out and fix something on it tonight. :chef:

Are you saying that it would make a great lid for you Discada??? It's awfully heavy to use as a lid!

Mojoelian BBQ on a Chimenea!

Way out in the desert in Landers, CA, we have a desert shack. It is near the Integratron, the Alien Landing Strip and the World's Largest Free Standing Boulder. At times, we can hear and see the bombs explode at the nearby 29 Palms Marine Base and it has a nice view of the top of San Gorgonio. It is my favorite place to go to unwind. In short, it is a big sky over a Joshua Tree forest.

Out on the front patio of our place is a ceramic chimnenea. We have enjoyed many a winter sunset in front of a blazing fire in its belly! I had been thinking about the possibilities of using the chimenea for a Mojoe Griddle cook for months and recently, I decided to go for it!

The rim on top of the chimy's chimney is 9" in diameter. The 24" diameter Mojoe Griddle is designed to work on any heat source with a rim diameter of between 8" and 22.5" (22.5" = standard Weber Kettle). So the Mojoe set nicely centered on top of the chimney. The mounting bars welded to the bottom of the Mojoe lift the Griddle 1" above the rim of the chimney so that flames, heat and air from the fire below can flow freely. This configuration is very stable for cooking because of the 35 pound weight of the Mojoe Griddle. It would take at least 25 pounds of pressure on the outer edge of the Mojoe to even begin to tip the griddle!

So what to cook? I decided that Mojoelian BBQ would be perfect in this open desert setting especially with the 1963 Dodge Custom pickup in the background. Here is the video:

It'd be too big anyway. There are times when a lid would be nice on the disco but if I used one of these then it would serve 2 purposes.

Extreme Mojoe Pot Luck | Toys For Tots Charity event at Camp Pendleton

Mojoe Outfitters hosted an insane Pot Luck get together at the recent Toys For Tots charity event at Camp Pendleton on December 6. There are photos of this amazing evening earlier in this thread. This T4T weekend event was organized by #AmericanAdventurist and #Trasharoo for members of the overlanding community and was successful in collecting over 800 toys for the US Marines charity program!

Mojoe Yakisoba On Our Desert Campfire!

On New Years Weekend, My buddy Brian and I took a trip out the the Iron Age Mine area about 20 miles East of 29 Palms. We found a killer campsite in a canyon off of Iron Age Road. We didn't see a soul in the entire area all weekend.

I set up my Mojoe Griddle over our campfire an proceeded to make authentic Japanese Yakisoba! This dish is made with pork belly and fried soba noddles. It turned out great! Here's the video:

Mojoe Egg-a-Muffin

Time for Breakfast - The morning after!

After our Yakisoba dinner in the desert, we put the Mojoe Griddle on my Camp Chef stove and cooked up this masterpiece for breakfast the next day. So simple but soooo good! Breakfast sausage patty, fried egg, fried cheese crisp with grilled jalapenos all on a toasted English muffin:
