Monday Price Drop Flippac

Flip-pac aka flippac. These are pretty rare and hard to come by. If you are looking at this post, then you probably already know this. This is for an 8 foot bed on a full size truck. This will not for a mid size truck. The width between your truck rails (measuring inside truck bed) be a minimum 62 1/8. If your truck width is any less than this, then it will not fit your truck. 62 1/8 inch or wider is an absolute must.

The canopy is fully functional and would make for an awesome overlanding setup. The tent has some stains, but I imagine giving it some tlc with some soapy water and oxi-clean would really make this thing shine. A coat of white kilz on the roof would make it look like new too.

Canopy is missing crank handle, so you can flip by hand or some other means. Original mattress is also missing. A sleeping pad or a foam topper would do the trick. For a little bit of time you can have a killer setup that should last for years to come. $4300 obo

This means nothing, and It wont fit my full size 97 dodge long bed

The different brands all had different full size truck bed sizes, and toppers wont interchange.

What truck and year did it come off of?

Thanks for the correction. I can provide some actual canopy measurements if that helps you or anyone else. This was previously on a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500.

The minimum 62 1/8 width between bed rails is a must though. Wider is great, narrower would not allow the canopy to be seated on bedrails due to flippac design.

1994-2001 dodges have the same bed size.

But your 62 1/8 throws me off. Did it fit the 2001 perfect?

Sounds like it was on a chevy, but hard to tell

It was on a 2001 ram 2500, but at one point for transportation I had to get a buddy to help me temporarily relocate the flippac with his Chevy. His Chevy had 62 1/8 between the bed rails, had it been any narrower, the flippac would not have fit. That’s the only reason I mentioned the 62 1/8. Sounds like you are pretty familiar with truck bed dimensions. ?

It seems like this could be a fit for your ram if you are looking.

Yeah, it "sounds" like it might fit. But considering I'm in Iowa, way to far.

I was just pointing out that you'll sell this easier if you have all the dimensions, or know exactly which truck this fits.

What kind of shape is the spring mechanism in? It has been a while but I believe there is a metal torsion rod at the hinge, these were know to fail on the Flippacs.

It is still in decent shape and should be serviceable for a while. When flipping this open to take some photos, there wasn’t anything that made me worried about its longevity.

Nice weather is just around the corner. Would love to get this flippac to a new home. If you have an 8ft bed, shoot me a message and lets work out a deal.
