Monkey Build

Hello All and Welcome to the Monkey SHOW!
I've been around for a few years, heck the ExpeditionWest Tacoma was part of what made me get my First Tacoma back in 06. I made a rear bumper for it, learned to wheel, and got it in and out of some sticky spots. This truck got me started in two different hobbies that time has proven I am not walking away from anytime soon. Enough with me on Monkey1.

A very soon to be addition to the family "forced" an upgrade to the double cab.

Not the best photo in the world but its only the beginning.

We just moved from England (I am USAF) and this is our DD for awhile and like most it needed to check a lot of boxes. For DD duties it needed dry bed storage. At first I was going the same route as my last tacoma with a bed cover. But expedition duties called for some kind of RTT mount, that i would like mounted above cab level. Perfect set up would put me in the bed and the wife and kid up in the RTT. With more then enough room to go around.
I spent a few nights looking closely at covers and it was hard to find one that would be able to mount some kind of rollbar with. So I started looking at bed caps. There is a Leer Dealer locally that I talked too. I do not like the overall look of a truck with a cap, but I am willing to take form over function.

I know con wise it adds weight, but can anyone else thing of either a better solution or why this is the best solution. Thanks for the help.
