montero and sport expedition box

So to avoid hijacking another's thread I will start this one to discuss the idea of transforming our monteros and montero sports into more of a "mini" earthroamer or GXV type vehicle that would be suitable for long distance travels in to other countries or just for the sake of useability anywhere. To start with I found this great website that customizes toyotas and land rovers but since these suv variants have similar body/chassis styles these designs work well.

This would be pretty neat to have in the back of my suv!

I think these ideas bring some great potential to the montero, any thoughts?

Cool, so that's a mitsu raider right? That almost looks just like a camper for a pickup bed more than a built-from scratch box that is fully integrated into the body though?

1. Yes, a short wheel base Montero that dodge rebadged as the Raider in the late 80's. 2. Probably because it is. More than one way to skin a cat, with a similar end state.

I say if you have something ready to go like a camper top use it. While building from scratch is cool having something out of the box might be nice too. I have seen a few photos on here of people who have bought a low sitting flat trailer and built a camper using a truck bed one and a bunch of cabinets for under the main sleeping quarters. thought that was cool too.
