I have a 1999 montero ls 3.5. I've never owned one. What can i do it?

You can spend a fair bit of time reading through this section of the site, as well as perusing the Mitsu section of 4x4wire.

Depends on how rough terrain you want to drive over, to start you can just slap on some 33x10.5s and wheel it as is and see if that's enough. From there the sky is the limit, I've had almost every possible configuration of a gen 2/2.5 let me know if you run out of options in your searches.

Welcome. From my experience, this forum mostly has full sized Monteros. As rare as upgrades are for Monteros, they are even more rare for the Montero Sport you have. Either way; enjoy your new rig stock, before doing anything, IMHO

Not for 98-00.

The base model(not winter package) is still referred to as an LS model in the later 98-00 full size Montero by some folks, not to mention the Sport LS only came with the 3.0 engine in 1999. You guys need to do a bit of reading before you scare the new kid away.

You can do that in stock form just fine, as long as you've got a decent set of A/T tires.

Im wrong about my montero it's a 3.0 not 3.5
