Looks like late 90's with winter package( headlight squirters and leather seats) but guy says it's a 2000. Has rollover damage but he is still driving it but hates it. 200k miles mild A/T's has had some maintenance items done to it. The only thing that scares me is the security has been bypassed and he said it's a pain to start.
$1200?

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Stock security system bypass = pull alarm fuse, key cycle 3 times leaving key on, plug in fuse and start.

Guy said security system was ripped out and switches added to start it? Said it acted like a carbed engine, had to pump the throttle to start. May look at it again tomorrow after work and will get pics then.

I wouldn't consider 1200 cheap on a rolled montero. I pAid 1200 for mine good running , clean body 153k miles. I consider mine cheap.

My plan is to buy a montero for a DD and weekend adventurer when I move close to work in the near future. So, I'm not in a big hurry but I just don't see them where I live and it looks like the one that has the locker.
As far a damage goes, it has a scuffed up drivers side fender, headlight/turn signal and a few fist size dents above the windshield. I like a little damage, I will not care if I pinstripe it on the trail.
Where is the don't touch it rust spots to look for? Here in Ohio it's common and I remember some on a rocker.
