Who has a 3.5L Montero Sport with a locking rear end and 4.90 gears? If you have such beast, what year is it, did it come stock that way and will you post the Vin Number so I/we can do a search using CAPS?

We are looking for a 4.90 locking third member that will replace the 4.6x and 4.2x without changing the ring and pinion.

I looked for one of those long and hard when trying to swap a factory locker into my sport. From what i understand its a real unicorn, i will be VERY interested to see if someone chimes in here.

All the Sports I've seen in wrecking yards with said equipment have been open axles.

They don't exist. The only option with 4.9 is Hybrid LSD. Those are plenty. One's with locker and 3.5 had same axle ratio as Gen II.5 4.272

It's a 2004, and no it did not come stock.

ARB Part Number RD154. Supposedly mine was the first one to be shipped to the U.S. The warehouse said "Oh, that's weird, why would would they [Australia] send us one of these? yeah, of course you can have it."
