It has been my winter vehicle. However I have not driven it for a little over 1 year. Here is the bad. . .The car cranks but the engine won't start. I am suspecting it needs a new fuel pump or could just need a new relay. I priced the car accordingly.
aka, non-running rust mobile. OME and Bilsteins sound nice though.
Exactly what the ad said to me. I asked him if he'd consider parting, but he never responded.

OMG!!! I can't believe you guys finally found this car. I saw it 2 weeks ago and went and test drove it. The thing LEAKS like crazy!!! Pretty much the whole undercarriage has oil and slowly but surely dripping all the time. The car is parked in a grass area. Such that if it leaks, it will be on grass, not on a paved place where you will easily notice it immediately.
The car starts up fine. Shifts smoothly through all the gears. 4X4 does engage. I don't remember seeing the 3rd row seats. AC is cold. Sunroof did open. I looked into the engine and it just looked like it has tons of leaks. And when I laid on the floor to look under the engine, that is when I just told the guy I was not interested anymore. Leaks a lot. But the car does look nice in person, for its age. And tires on them are pretty decent.
So, know that I have gone and taken a look at it. This was last week.

No rear locker. Plenty of miles for $4.5k.

I just learned something- I thought since they had all the bells and whistles, they might have the locker, too. I know to usually look for the tell-tale orange sticker on the console, but I've seen a few with locker, without the sticker- must have been removed.
If I remember correctly, the 99-00 Monteros did not have a locker at any trim level.
