:wings: Got the Monty back on the road :victory::smiley_drive:

kinda

drove about 15 miles and burst the rear brake line-so, I gotta fix it.

Read on one of the posts here about the gear ration being on the silver tag under the hood-(i just thought that was engine information), so, if nothing was changed when the vehicle was rebuilt-I've got 4.63 gears in it. I knew it sucked gas for a reason, other than the front axle issue.

BUT, I'm riding again. :coffeedrink:

Well, seeing as this is post 1 in this thread, I'm not sure what broke or how you fixed it but glad to hear the rig's back on the road.:sombrero:

If the rear brake line blew, it might be a good time to also replace the front ones cause they won't be that far behind...

On the other hand if the rear one blew because of a suspension lift in back then you probably need to look at longer lines which should be available but difficult to identify since nobody makes longer lines specifically for Mitsu 4x4's.

it had been parked for about 16 months--broke the crank bolt (I know, shocking that would happen to a monty :Wow1: ) and just hadn't bothered to fix it with gas being $4/gallon when it happened and my ford averaging 38 1/2 mpg.

Started to do the 4.3 conversion-had the engine lined up-but several lifestyle altering occurances side lined that.

Proabably will go ahead and do the front as well. Gotta change the back tonight-repo guy has been to the house 2x for the wife's car-so I have to give up the ford. Samurai needs a valve job, so it may sit too.
