My pictures show it holding a 5-gallon Wavian Jerry Can we used for extra fuel. It fit perfectly. NOTE: Sale does NOT include the Jerry Can. You will need to supply your own can. I have read that it works with NATO, Wavian, Sceptre, or Rotopax, Gas or Water Containers - it may work with others as well. For Rotopax containers, you would use only the mount, and not the tray. The Rotopax configuration would require a separate Rotopax mount as well.
Perfect for overlanding, camping, or just to add a bit of a safety margin to your fuel or water capacity.
I chose this because the Jeep JL tailgate is near its maximum weight capacity with an OEM 33” Rubicon spare tire and wheel mounted to it. Adding another 40 pounds of fuel there would have been problematic. This mount solves that problem by placing that weight between your front wheel well, and driver’s door.
