Do you have a general idea as to what the retail value is of the build itself? Minus the stock truck and not including labor obviously.

I don't have the total(s), but I do have what I think is every-single-receipt from the build and my upgrades and maint. If I can find that info or tally all of it I'll DM you.

Apologies for the late delay, I didn't get a notification of your post,

I've got a very similar rig with the Khaya on a Tacoma and I love it. We had taken it on tracks that were just a step above a goat trail and it goes anywhere and takes whatever we throw at it.

It's a great platform for two people...someone should snatch this up.

Thanks, @79nj40 !

Lot's of interest and DM's, but no one has pulled the trigger yet! We just got back from a 4-day, 1,600 mile tour of western Colorado and locations between Joshua Tree (Monunent Valley, Valley of the God's, Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Telluride, etc.) and the rig ran like a champ. Zero issues and wam enough at night when it was frosty outside (literal frost on everything in= the mornings).

Very nice build. I have read your specs carefully and don’t see transmission listed. The interior shot looks like a MT shifter but cant see a third pedal. Also I don’t see any weight info.

Hey there Ace,

It is indeed an automatic. The gearing has been changed to 5.29 ratio. That's listed in the ad :

2018 OFF-ROAD TACOMA PARTS AND GEAR:
Suspension & Gears:

  • Nitro Gears 5.29, Revo 8.75”

I don't have specific weight info, but it is heavy. Upgrades to address that as best as possible were made during the build, and I've done a few more things to continue to address that from a comfort and safety POV.

Hope that helps,
-t.

Thanks for that. Is the total weight within
GVW limit?

What octane rating is needed?

Again, I don't have any info on the weight. I can imagine it's very close to the GVWL. Fuel is 87 octane, no engine work/changes has been done.

Very interested, but also concerned with the weight - I was burned years ago with a rig on my T-100 that exceeded the GVWL and resulted in burning out the brakes in Death Valley...can you take it to a truck scale? Further question, how difficult is it to remove the Khaya?
