I know. I'm going look at doing that with the Ford receiver my van has. This is the first van I've seen doing this. And I agree - Great looking van! I've looked threw the Grassroots build thread and like this build.

That flipping of the hitch is a great idea. I wonder if it affects towing or how its made at all. I wouldn't think so but I am also not an engineer ha ha.

If I wasn't about to throw a 55gallon tank in that spot I would totally do it.

It's probably stronger this way because the fulcrum is inline with the frame rails instead of hanging several inches below it, so there's less leverage.
