Ok I seem to have access back with the Tapatalk app.

Work has really gotten in the way of our touring as well as a global pandemic that has touched us all.

We have managed to get a few small trips in and a few mods done. I’ll endeavour to get these posted.

As mentioned before work has been pretty constant the last year. Considering the global pandemic and with Australia being in recession I am incredibly thankful.

I’m spent the majority of my time working underground in the mining sector. We’ve just got a new LC79 mine spec vehicle. Love new things...

As much fun as the 79 is to drive they are nowhere as comfortable as the 100 series.

Ok it’s been a couple years since I’ve updated this build.

Still got the 100 and it’s still running brilliantly.

It’s been running perfectly over the last few years. Have done a fair few trips away.

I’ve integrated some of our Snow Peak IGT gear into the Drifta draws setup. Using an IGT3 and Medium Extension table as a fridge divider. Works brilliantly.

All stores away in a pullout shelf under the drop down fridge slide.

Upgraded…

The OME suspension had seen better days. It was sagging a little and didn’t like the increased weight when loaded for a trip.

I fitted a full Dobinson MRR 3 Way Adjustable kit. Long travel shocks with remote reservoirs. Diff drop, UCA’s, constant 400kg springs and rear airbags.

Shocks have both high and low speed compression dampening as well as rebound dampening.

Also I added a set of ROH Assault wheels in 18 x 9 with POS 35 offset.

These were fitted with 275 / 70 x R18 Toyo AT3’s.

2.5” lift on the 33’s has it sitting a lot better. Still fine tuning the settings on the shocks but super happy with how it’s handling.

Also got around to instal the Runva 11XP winch I’d had sitting in the shed for the last couple years. Had to fit a 1.5” offset fairlead to work with the ARB front bar.

Now it’s ready for some winter touring !!!

One final addition to the 100 Series. Picked up a Rola VB5 vertical bike rack. Hitch mounted and can hold 5 x E-bikes.

Super easy to load and it pivots.

Can tilt back to access the rear cargo area fridge and draws.

A heck of a lot easier to use than loading a trailer.

We’re really happy with the rack and how it secured the bikes.

This looks great. Would you provide some detail on how you are storing the bamboo table vertically? I have the same table and have been laying it on top of the drawers which isn’t ideal. The table does add some nice workspace.

I actually mounted it in a rush before our last trip. 20mm Aluminium square with some PVC plastic cable conduit.

It holds it really well and doesn’t slide or jump out even on some fairly rough tracks

Being PVC it doesn’t mark the Bamboo. Probably not the most engineered solution but simple and works.

Another quick mod was some tennis court netting and bungee cord. Made a loft storage for jackets etc. Travelling with young kids can be a challenge. They can take their winter jackets off and throw them up there. Keeps the cabin relatively clutter free.

Winter touring has its challenges. Great fun though.

With winter over camping is back on the radar
We’ve changed the way we’re going to travel and have purchased a hybrid camper.
16’ electric roof, galley kitchen and all the mod cons.

Running full Redarc electric system, solar and lithium batteries.

A recent trip through the Flinders Ranges. Still need to fine tune our setup yet it’s a massive step forward in comfort.
