I have to express my excitement. Last night our local SAR Board of Directors voted to allow our technical/mountain rescue team to put in an application to become MRA certified!

It's a step that those of us who have been Tech members for years have been pushing for, and the chance to meet the high level of professionalism embodied by MRA is exciting!

As part of an MRA team, I applaud this step. The certification (and recertifications) are a PITA, but keep your team on its toes IMHO.:rappel: Good luck!

Good luck! Communication, leadership, teamwork and safety are some good things to work on before the cert.

I'm glad to say that yesterday our Technical/Alpine team just passed the final certification for MRA membership! :victory:

Looking forward to June, where hopefully we'll be voted in as regular members of the Mountain Rescue Association!
