Well after a couples weeks of debating where to mount it inside the rig...i finally said screw it and i'll keep the space.. so i had it welded to the kaymar left swing out. Turned out perfect. Like 1/2" gap between the tire and tank. Opens fine.

You can fill those up at paintball places.

There's an indoor paintball arena in Milpitas and Burlingame. If you can't get them there, try diving shops. There's one in San Carlos off of 101. Assuming that you are anywhere close to these places. :)

I'm in sunnyvale so yes, I'm close to all these places. :D I thought power tank is fill with CO2 does diving shop fill CO2? Or is the paintball shop that fills CO2?

Just check the paintball arena in Milpitas does not allow CO2. http://www.bearcreekmilpitas.com/ so I guess I can not get CO2 from them.:smilies27

Need to find CO2 before get the tank. I really want a onboard air tank. It takes forever for my $9.99 air pump to fill a 205/60/15 tire I can't imagine using that on a 245/75/16 tire.

Nice job finding space for it. Playing devil's advocate, but what happens if you get rear ended with that tank back there?

The LC bottle opener is a really nice touch too! ;)

I was wondering the same thing, 2 of my buddies with 80's got rear ended good in the last 2 months, making me nervous.

Also, on a HOT day, i wonder if the heat would effect it? Black should attract more heat. Any ideas on that?

I've seen alot of exterior mountings and it's probably cooler- temp wise- than interior mountings. It can get pretty hot inside vehicles... never seen an issue w/ exterior mounts, CO2 is pretty stable.

Rear end accidents... well that's something else but if it hit and blew, it would probably kill any fires in direct vicinity with that CO2. Don't know what impact does to a CO2 tank...?

maybe a longer cable?

Naah, the tire has its own lock tab and so does the jerry can. The bottle bracket has its own tab too... so i need three locks that have the same keys..

If they're tailgating me, they'll get a torpedo through their windshield :wings: The cruiser opener is from cruisercrap.com

From Powertank's site "A: The Power TankTM uses liquid CO2 gas which is an inert, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable gas. Our aluminum tanks are D.O.T. (Dept. of Transportation) approved. CO2 goes through a phase change from liquid to vapor as it releases its energy. This evaporative process slows the pressure release rate meaning that a CO2 tank will not become a high speed rocket like a scuba tank would in the rare event of a valve decapitation. A Power Tank is as safe as a CO2 fire extinguisher."

Yeah put the cover on tonight. Keeps the knuckleheads from knowing or trying to find out what the cylinder is too.
