Mounting MaxTrax on Gobi Ladder?

So, I'm exploring mounting solutions for my new set of MaxTrax. With my roof top tent on the stock roof rack, my mounting options are limited. I don't have a rear tire carrier, so the only remaining mounting surface is the Gobi ladder. I've got the mounting pin set, but I'm not sure how I can implement these with the ladder. Has anyone done this before? Is it even feasible? Thanks.

I have mine mounted on a slee ladder on my 100 series. I built custom brackets for the mounting pins, but you could do it simpler with some round tube clamshell mounts and a piece of flag stock. Use the flat stock to offset the pins from the mounts. I've seen a bunch of rotopax mounted this way too.

McMaster Carr would be a good source for the tube clamshell mounts.

I couldn't find those clamshell mounts on the McMaster Carr website. Am I looking for the wrong item, or am I just an idiot?

I swear I've see it on "JoelWho's" 2nd Gen. I'll see if I can find it.

Edit - found it.

I noticed that on his build thread a while ago. I queried him for his mounting solution, but to no avail. I think I'll try again, though.

Thanks for the help, Gents.

We are working on a universal mount which should be out in a few months that'll be perfect in this scenario, which I realize doesn't help much right now...

Any more details on these universal mounts? Might be worth holding out on to avoid having to fab something myself that likely won't be great.
