Mounting options for a water tank to a trailer?

I'm thinking of welding a few tabs to the frame and using fuel tank straps so I can mount it under the bed of the trailer? Good idea? What else have you guys done?

I'm not sure if I am going to weld them or bolt them but looking at doing the same on my trailer. For sure the tank is going under the bed, I don't want to give up the bed space.

When I get my water tank made I will be mounting it below the trailer and make a simple steel skid plate for it. My plan is pretty much like your, tabs and a strap to hold it up in place.

I made a, well, I'm not sure what I would call it, a rack or a basket? I still need to get some proper straps on it, but it does the job. It also pivots at the rear so I can easily install and remove the tank by myself.

I put mine behind my battery/toolbox on the tongue. It's a little higher CG but well protected. Holds 12 gallons, ordered it on line from Utah I believe for about $80.00? A rotation molding place.
