I believe they are the 67" slider. The front end needed to be cut and capped in order to make them fit close to the rockers. Otherwise there would have been a larger gap than necessary. If I recall correctly, they were 150 or so, plus the mounting plates which were another 20 dollars. We were able to pick them up in person to save on shipping. My friend with the same truck did the same sliders as well.

Thanks. I have been eyeing those sliders for some time. But I wasn't sure if they would really fit quite right after measuring the truck. If I just need to cut off and cap I think I can deal with that thanks for the inspiration.

I actually really wanted some sliders from Demello, but they decided I wasn't worth their time to respond to (email and with phone calls) so I went with TG sliders. With powder coat I am about 400.

Good question...there is actually a thread I started a year or so ago when I was contemplating the switch from the LC to the 4th ten 4runner. Check it out. They are really just two different vehicles. The more time I spend in the 4runner, I like it more and more. My 80 will always give me fond memories, as I really loved that truck.

We just did a 4 day trip to Southern Utah in the 4runner. We averaged just over 15mpg with a box and basket on top (I've got 2 kids) and to have the v8 power is awesome. The seats aren't as comfortable as the cruiser, and I had to be much more judicious with my packing as there is less room in the 4runner but the tradeoffs are worth it.

I am thinking of ordering a drawer from Adventure Trailers to mount my fridge slide to, and that can hold all of the 'regular stuff' that I keep in there, and utilize the space a bit more. I also just added two more Bundu Boxes to make the packing more uniform-4 of the same size should be easier. Overall, I love it...I didn't put the winch on there as it was going to be sold with the cruiser, and I am now debating on wether or not to do it....I may just add the ARB sooner and call it good. I have rarely ever found I needed a winch.

Additionally, I found I wasn't needing the heavy duty 4wd the cruiser offered on many trips, and I was lusting after more power and fuel economy. We are now on the hunt for a 2008+ Tundra with the 5.7 liter. It is going to eat the same amount of gas per gallon as the cruiser, but it will have 300 + h.p. to show for it. I am confident that the two trucks in our family will work well for us.

Roger, have you and your buddy with the V6 4runner compared mileage? Just curious in real world driving with modest lifts and loads whether the v8 has an advantage at all with torque helping out, etc. I have really been warming to the 4th gen 4runner's lately and I think the 4.7 is a gem of a motor, could only imagine how nice it is in that package.

Kristian-

I know that he does better by a solid 1 mpg (or more) around town. The trucks have the same tires in the same size, same lift, same sliders.

Now with the ARB on the front of ours, I suspect it may change a bit. According to the computer in the car itself, I am pulling 16.1 to 16.4 around town Clair is getting in the 17's consistently.

We are just turning 89k, so it will be due for a tuneup, I suspect it may change and increase a bit.

I have some time behind the wheel of both the v6 and v8. I prefer the v8. Although, the v6 has the oil filter in a very convenient location in comparison to the v8.
