Must Do Tacoma Expedition Upgrades?

Completely agree and we have done 15k miles in this truck exploring since August of last year. However, if I didn't ask questions like this I would just be working with nothing to spend my money on.

Well in that case my personal list of items I would want on my own trucks are a lift to allow larger tires. A quality set of tires appropriate for the terrain. Solid recovery points. Hilift, shovel, tow straps, D-rings. Sliders.
.
After that I'd be looking at bumpers, then comfort items like a fridge or RTT.

Lots of good stuff,in here. Imo add good recovery gear, basic spares to cover basic things like belts hoses some get tire repair kit ratchet straps and air compressor and some basic tools. After that load your personal and camping gear have fun.

Level 2 upgrade to good at or mt tire, does not have to be large. A stock size tire with great tread willl work wonders.

One things everyone should have is a recovery hook set like the one in the link. Newbs will quickly learn how many 4x4's do not have proper recovery points. Or better the people you be able to help out in a passenger car that are stuck. This is absolutely the most frequently used piece in my recovery bag.http://m.northerntool.com/products/shop~tools~product_200466664_200466664

Erm... You mean the product which clearly says right in its description "Not for recovery" :)

I'm still starting my build as well. Lots of good info so far. Have you thought about starting a build thread?
