I guess if the jeep is kept 100% stock it may not be too bad for maintenance. I mean aside from the fact that all of the plastic lined ball joints give up, the stock tie rod, drag link and trac bars bend and flex, the bolts are undersized and threaded full length (destroying bushing sleeves and wallowing out mounting points). Oh and the bad transmissions and transfer case bearings off of the lot. Oh and the cylinder heads, water pumps. Oh and... Nevermind I'll stop. Now add some aftermarket stuff on to those weak points. Try using it off road and getting it to drive straight down the freeway without severe vibrations. I was constantly working on mine. Very fun and capable but what a pain if you're trying to use it for a multi purpose rig.

Thanks.....anyone on expo run into rusted toyota frames...

The Jeep was fun and would totally out number the Tacoma off the road. Except I wasn't really doing anything extreme with the Jeep and I would have kept it but I figured I'd try some feelers and it ended up selling. I wanted to try something different and the new Rubicon was out of my budget.

I'd still love to get another Jeep later down the road. Love everything about them. I just wanted a change and something that'll still tow my teardrop and explore forest roads and stuff.

My jk grenaded the front diff after the recall on the pinion seal
Then the transmission blew up along
....with death wobble, ball joints made of paper and 4 steering boxes later

My Dodge Ram blew its fuel pump apart and leaked gas all over the place at the fuel pump day I drove it home
Srt-4 left me stranded after driving it off the showroom floor after the oil cooler exploded under it
And my Dakota blew its engine 2 weeks after I bought it... So yeah.

Mopar.. Mo you drive them the mo parts you need.

Took the trailer out the other day to get some work done on it. Towed pretty nicely behind the truck.

Congrats on the purchase. Your first pic looks similar to my first pic of mine.

I just completed my CB install (other than main power to my aux fuse box under the hood), and followed this thread and put it inside the center console. Minor cutting to the inside, and my CB fits nice and tight and I might not even have to drill to secure it, or may just use a little velcro. I also used the Relentless Fabrication hood hinge mount in that thread. Fits nice, just have to be sure to rotate it to the center of the hood or it might touch the rear edge of the hood.

Thanks. I have a CB that I want to use but it's kind of big. I may just look into that Cobra handheld one. Or try to test fit the one I have now.
