I've read some things about permits being required for traveling the Strip. Was where you went outside of the permit areas?

I've never heard of permits required for the areas administrated by the BLM, perhaps inside the North Rim National Park. I believe if you want to camp at Kanab point which we did in our first trip:

you will need a "wilderness permit" issued by the park service.

Thanks,

If you truck and trailer is over 22 feet, you can't take it off road in the National Park..... I wasn't supposed to have it a Swamp Point either, but no one was there to complain.

As to the use of drones in the National Park, they are not allowed. What I had to do was wait until everyone else left to fly it. On one occasion, a couple wanted to see it fly so I had their permission.

What the heck....rules are just general guidelines for some of us.

Thanks . As for the 22ft vehicle and trailer length , a garden tractor and utility trailer would be pushing it.
