My Box

A stepped subframe and a 4-point torsion-free mounting is viable, it's what we did with our Canter - it allowed us to have a 2080mm interior height for the majority of the box. It might just be that if you go with Azimoo, they will want to build it the way they want and/or know. Have you looked at Atkinson Vos (Unimog specialists in UK) to build your subframe and bare box? - ours was their first Canter and they have now built another Canter the same way.

It's already a little late...aside from that, I decided based on price and finishes to go with Recubox, a national company with a very, very good reputation. I could choose the subframe option that I would have preferred, so I decided on this one.

What do you think about 205cm for cell interior? My problem is that I am 184 tall and I don't want to feel overwhelmed.

I think this is a good distance. We have 22cm above my head and even wearing thick hiking shoes, it feels normal.

15cm is about the minimum, less than that and it starts to feel closed in.
