Looking forward to this build and need to ask you to Please post up part numbers as you go. What axle is that? Are those new leaf springs? Where did you get the bushings for the suspension? etc...I also have a 4runner. My 416 is in a million pieces. I need many parts on the suspension to get it back together again. Thanks and again awesome build so far!

Vintagejeepparts.com for all suspension parts. Wanted to keep it close to stock. I went with a lighter leaf spring.

These little trailers are great builds. Mine is a 1967 Stephens Manufacture. I also built mine with the help of my two sons who were 12 and 17 at the time. I have taken mine from Virginia Beach to El Paso, TX then to New Mexico and back to Virginia. Then moved my son to college from Virginia Beach to Cincinnati. Then for my other son who plays travel hockey this trailer has dragged his gear up from Buffalo, NY to Charleston, SC. It has outlasted two Jeeps and a Ford Expedition. It has been rock solid reliable.

Here it is after the rebuild in 2011 just before my military move to El Paso, TX.

Here is was hauling flag stones for my aunt in El Paso, I put the wood so the stones would not dent the sides and floor.

The lid is beautiful! Did you build from a plan?

Lid is not made from a plan, these trailer bodies have seen so much twisting and beating, they are not all the same, so a plan wouldn’t work.

So made some progress, tongue fab’ed and mounted rear hitch receiver on! Will work on getting the lid mounted and mocking up the lights.

Started really thinking about adjustable rack for the tent vs. the fixed I️ planed, came across this on here. seems good, I️ will prob just mount at the ends of the body vs the sides. Credit @box rocket
