Thanks everyone for the great comments. Yes I did fall in love with her the first time I saw her all twisted up on the rocks. Talk about an impulse buy! In the end I came out WAY on top! I have already written down (several times) exactly how I am going to build her up for expedition use. Today I installed my first bit of kit. Its small but what the hell. Heres some pics. Years ago I built this receiver shackle hitch. Today I pulled her out of deep storage and dusted her off. After a bit of sanding I gave her a good coating of spray on bed liner. Nothing special but its the start of my build.

I believe its a 1 1/8" Shackle.

I noticed that you are using a bolt in place of a hitch pin, what grade bolt are you using? I never thought of that before.

I use a Grade 8 bolt. Hitch pins are ok but theft is a given. The lockable hitch pins are very very weak. NEVER use those for anything unless your pulling a 300 pound trailer with a couple of bicycles on it! I cant believe they are legal. :Wow1:

Using a bolt as a hitch pin is a great idea! Congrats on your nice truck. She is a beauty. Be carefull though,:Wow1: some guys would rather sleep with their Cummins then with their wife...:ylsmoke:

No worries about that. (you would understand if you saw my wife!). But the Cummins is HOT too!

For those of you with a kink in your neck:

Beautiful Truck! (Too bad Dodge didn't improve the interiors yet, as much as they did the exteriors!)

Thank you VERY much for correcting that kink in my neck! Someone needs to show me how to do that.

The plans are to add a 75 Gallon AREO Fuel tank. It will go in place of the stock fuel tank and then some. But it will fit.
