My new Jumping Jack

Picked up my new trailer today in Pensacola - closest distributor to me. Long drive home so I haven't set it up yet. I'll post pictures when I get it set up.

One thing I will say - trailer is stout and well thought out. Pulls like a dream although the AC with a 20 kt head wind sure cut into the mileage. Sure can't wait to try it out.

If anyone else has one, let me know how you personalized it.

Got the JJ opened up this morning - took about 15 minutes but I was going slow and learning everything. Very easy although if you try to go a different way than the tent wants to you find out how strong it is. Let's see if I can make the pictures work ...

what did it cost you

Out the door was 6K. I added a spare tire, half bed section, lamp rack and a cooler rack. Base $ was 5200 which is pretty good from an auto dealer. They sold one a couple of weeks ago to a guy from Texas for the same reason I went there - they were the closest.

Sweet, Billy; can't wait to see it in person.
Now you can camp with us and not need to skee-daddle all the way back to Blue Ridge every afternoon.

Believe me, I am looking forward to getting up there and enjoying the forest to the fullest.

I'll will be setting up my battery / inverter in the next week or two. After that, I should be ready to give it a go. There's a couple of places down here where you can camp pretty much on the beach. May try a weekend and try and figure out what else I might want to carry along.

Well past the days of tossing some hot dogs and beer in the cooler and taking off. Now I want to enjoy roughing it comfortably ...

Enjoy the fireworks tonight.

Wet the fabric down with a sprinkling from a garden hose. This will help the stitching swell and the weave tighten.

A friend of mine picked up his Jumping Jack and went on a hunting trip without doing this and got soaked the first night. Once you wet it down and let it dry all should be well.

Thanks for the reminder, Martyn. It was a good day for it - high 80's with a good breeze. Once it dried, I opened all the windows and it was not too bad in there - plenty of ventilation.

That looks great! I am glad to hear a good report on these. I think I am going to have to replace my AT Horizon at the end of the summer with one of these. One of my sons is handicapped and it is getting too difficult to lift him up into the RTT. Please keep us updated as you use the trailer.

enjoy and thanks,

Matt

Cool looking trailer, plenty of space, wonder how well it could handle the washboard roads and rocky terrain!:sombrero:

I pulled mine doing 60 down a national forest dirt road with no problems what so ever.

I added a tool chest to the tongue of mine, mud flaps, and made Kayak racks out of two sets of the four wheeler safety hoops.

When I get a chance I am adding a few feet to the tongue so I can mount my generator and 20lb propane tank. I also want to mount some kind of storage box to the tail gate since I have room. I am also getting two awnings from busdepot.com since they are 1/3rd the cost of the factory ones.

Congrats on your purchase...I think you will love it!!!
