After spending a few months looking I finally found something I feel worth building into a family friendly rig.
Welcome the 2005 DCSB TRD Offroad to the family. Found it for cheap because of it's high mileage. 1-owner and body and interior are immaculate but with 237k miles I guess the guy couldn't get rid of it. Runs great (so far) and should serve well as a family camping/hunting/off-roading vehicle.
I've been reading around a lot bit if anyone has any tips/tricks for this model feel free to inform me. I have to fix the compass/thermometer by soldering it, fix the VSV tick with some rubber washers and double sides tape, and replace the antenna. Then she'll be in full working order. Also has the wonderful melted lenses inside the headlight assembly but I may not even bother with replacing the headlights until the bulbs go bad.
Anyone have experience with shorty headers on these 4.0's? Truly worth the gain or not? Thanks
