My restoration to a Disco Trek Discovery

Got a CarFax on that by chance? I was just wondering if it was Mark and Lorie Clutter's old Trek. They bought theirs after the event but sold it around 2006 or so. I just don't know what number they had.

At any rate, your doing a great job with it!

Update 2/19 stripes are being removed and dents are getting fixed with paintless dent removal this week. The hood decal and stripes are so badly sun baked. The paint shop will try to remove first or go to phase 2. I believe once they are removed the entire hood will probably need to be repainted as the hood has many dings etc,,, to be right. More to follow ...

thanks

update 2/25 ...From Dale

Decals are stripped - Paint looks surprisingly good. Fender extensions removed and ready for paint
dents to be removed now and any respray to occur. Decals to be reinstalled, after wetsanding then Sealer and Final Buff/ wax .. then back to RTE for bumper/roof rack and lighting completion

Found some Euro Disco2 headlamps for a different look - from the UK - ordered and cheaper than NA lights....

And these are with a LHD beam pattern right? You don't want to be blinding oncoming traffic with Right Hand Drive headlight beam patterns.

Yes these are LHD lights...I do not believe the wiring on US LRs support the RHD lights. The diff from US spec headlights are one clear and one amber light on each side opposed to 2 ugly amber lights...

I thought about this some more and re ordered with correct US amber only lights...I don't need any wiring surprises. Fortunately I found you can buy these much cheaper in UK than the US...

How are the wheels getting redone I have an 03 with the same wheels. They've saw better days and I like the black.

These wheels were not horrible structurally, just the finish. We sand, acid etch prime, and repaint. This seems to hold best especially if you use the truck off road. The PC will chip, and then becomes a bugger to touch up. It helps that he is running 6 wheels/tires to always have a 'pretty' set available for DD duties.
