My restoration to a Disco Trek Discovery

I got the Trek back on Friday. My BMW mechanic drove it for about 25miles yesterday as it has Service Engine soon light/ codes. P0150 low voltage O2 sensor bank 2 and a P1590 Rough Road ABS fault. Then it threw the 3 Amigos lights issue......geez any ideas if the ABS Modulator Shuttle valve repair kit will repair/solve this? Or could it be several things? Fun times.....

I would clear them and start over as no lights were on during my brief drive in it. She has had a lot of work done to her, so check connections etc. first, as it very well may be something minor. If not, then the fun begins...

We cleared them and all of them came back. Going to have this looked at this afternoon for further diagnostics.
The P0150 does not surprise me as Front Drivers O2 sensor was replaced in Dec by The Shop. I understand all 4 of these should be replaced at the same time to minimize failure. P1590 and the 3 amigos ....has me stumped.

Update - looks like amigos are gone for the moment. Sensors were reseated and computer reset. I will unplug passenger front o2 sensor and see it contact cleaner will fix.

Congrats, your truck looks great. Hopefully the codes will prove to be something simple, cheap and easy to fix!

Thanks Jeff - the codes are all cleared. The 3 amigos was due to replacing air suspension with Coil springs and indicating this on the computer. The 02 sensor was replaced last Friday.

Truck looks amazing - actually just spoke to the Shop about doing some work on my '04 based on your recommendation.

I must say, however, that this thread and the "is the 4.6 inherently bad" thread sure have me concerned about Disco ownership... hope it all works out and you get it sorted soon! If you need another tech recommendation, the guys at Bear Valley are very knowledgeable and talented.

Thanks I appreciate this.....a constant work in progress. A 4.6 and the rest of the platform is Very comparable to being married to a VERY VERY HIGH maintenance woman that has the bad fortune of being a crack addict.

Apparently a crack addict that got hold of a bad batch.....
The 4.6 worked fine for a few weeks and 150miles worth of local daily driving until the oil pressure dumped....either a lifter or a piston sleeve is slapping when the motor gets hot....friggin unbelievable. Shopping for a CannibalV8 longblock to replace this POFS motor design(my personal technical acronym)....I wish I could put a Turbo Diesel in it.....Disco life blows sometimes....should have bought a Defender for what I will have in this stupid thing. #@$%@#$!@#$!@#$~@#$@~#$..the adventure continues

Sorry to hear that, good luck with the search. There is someone with a *d2 TD5 setup on the defender source though.
