curbell plastics out of aurora ..... its called king starboard .... uv stable marine grade hdpe .... prices have skyrocketed from when i originally priced it out.... cuts drills and routers just like wood ..... used a caulk rope on the frame and screwed hdpe to frame with size 10 self tappers..... if by chance they do not hold up i have rivnuts and 1/4 20 screws to hold it all together ....but i think it will be fine .. 3/4 inch for the floor and 1/2 inch every where else

Love this build. No bind raising rack? I'm looking at something similar and know I'll have to do it alone, so I'm overthinking the hell out of the design.

What is rope caulk? Any allowance given to accommodate thermal expansion of the King StarBoard? With rate of 6×10-5 in./degree F, this is substantially more than the steel frame

I spent a very long time and a lot of effort planning.... anylize paralized .......no binding .... linear actuators are going on all four corners ..... snake oil wax lubricant i made works great and could slide rack quite easily ..there is a type of tube made for sliding parts .... found this out after build .... no going back now. .... tent and awning have added about 300 pounds to rack and actuators are 200 lbs each ... should be fine ..... rope caulk is an easy way to put a seal on the frame before screwing on the panels .... 30 feet for about 6 bucks ... got some butyl blah blah in it to keep it soft .... no allowances made for expansion....that was based on conversations had with someone who did the same thing .... kinda wait and see thing .....girlfreind has added on demand hot water heater to mix so figuring out now what where and how to do water ...pump... etc ... i will keep you posted
