Navigation system "upgraded": ipad 1 + DUAL XGPS150 + Scenic Maps Western US Software
Been mulling this over ever since I purchased my iPod and realized how perfect it's interface would be as a navigation computer. Zooming in/out, moving around the map, etc. all simply screen swipes instead of using the mouse/trackpad. Also a lot more responsive than a laptop, or typical auto gps.
Here's the unit mounted up. I used a locking RAM mount bolted to a piece of aluminum plate cut to fit underneath the Montero's 3 gauge pod instrument cluster.

Where I plan to velcro down the Dual XGPS150 bluetooth gps puck.
