Need Advice: 2003 Sprinter, 150K

I have taller-than-stock 245/75R16 ultragrip ice WRT non-studded snowtires (really good tires btw) on my LWB passenger sprinter and it is excellent in snow and ice (I had to do some minor surgery to the front wheel wells to clear them). I very rarely have to chain it up. Surprisingly good ground clearance esp. with the extra height from the tires. Aired down it's not bad on washboard/bumpy logging roads either.

4wd would be nice but its not like I'm going to take it rock-crawling. Generally a chained 2wd will do as well or better than as a non-chained 4wd except in deep mud or sand. Putting on chains is a PITA for sure, and you have to slow down, but if it saves $25,000....
