Ok, Throw it out there. I'm going to replace my pads and rotors soon and I wanted to hear what was everyones' experience on anything other than oem. We know they work great, but I want to experiment and see what things other people have tried? EBC? Beck and Arney? AutoZone? Peps? Let me know what you tried and what worked and didn't work.

Front brakes were replaced with Raybestos 980351 Rotors and Warner QC1098 Pads. Rears with Raybestos 980345 rotors and Warner QC1099 pads. I defeated both wear sensors.

This was 50k miles ago. They are still working great. Need to check the thicknesses though, as it was 50k miles...

What car? My friend just got the "high end" brake kit from rock auto for his LR3. Slotted/drilled rotors, etc. So far seems like a good setup.

On my LR3, I'll be going with Akebono brake pads. Highly recommended to me for performance and minimizing brake dust. I just picked up an AB rear brake kit, I'll be doing drilled/slotted front rotors, probably whatever off of Rock Auto. And these brake pads. That said, I plan on towing so good brakes are very nice.

For a P38, D2, or any of the newer vehicles, don't waste your time turning rotors. Local shops charge like, $40 to turn rotors...new are between $25-35 typically. Cheaper if you look harder. So keep that in mind.

I got my rotors and pads from AB. Kit came with sensors but the old ones were not in any danger of being activated any time soon, just had them installed anyway as they were in the kit.
As I am a 2nd owner of a vehicle, with 130K miles, I am in the process of replacing or fixing anything that has even a possibility of being questionable. It is a fine automobile and worth the attention.

Essayons!!
I put AB premium set on stores and drilled I went thru 3 sets of pads over 90,000 miles with no rotor issues. I did however change them out before they truly needed to be. I was so satisfied with them when I bought my lr4 I immediately switched to them on it.
