Please bolt the chains to the tongue channels with bolts that only hold the chains on so when this fails the chains will still be attached to the trailer

The first welds were tacks at best

The second welds are not perfect but they are not the worst I have seen. Some of the welds I see out there scare me

Appreciate the input guys! A new piece is being fabricated by a trailer manufacturer just to be safe. I have chains fastened to the tongue rails and backup cables that run to the frame under the box as a precaution. The tack welds scared the crap out of me when that one side broke as this is the first trailer I have ever owned and I had faith in the manufacturer since they are licensed to do this sort of thing. Needless to say I have learned a lot already! Thanks again for the help.
