Need Jeep Advice Quick!

kits to fix those doors are cheap these days. the unicorn piss needed to run the diffs and tranfser case make it less desirable but still a fantastic system. if my coupler in the tcase goes i will be doing a 242hd swap

keep looking

There are always jeep for sale I know that several years have serious issues with transmissions and there are a lot of places you can go to find out something about a puegot transmission or something. I would look for a mechanically sound piece before going with the yj I am sure you could fing a tj or wj for that price. and 120k on the cherokee is I think too much, Consider that for armor aesthetics and interior there are hundreds of product so don't get hung up on those items after all you are going to build it right?

do the XJ

My vote is on the XJ. Mainly because it has been my expo vehicle for many thousands of miles, just breaking 200k. They are cheap to modify, lots of space, the 4.0HO in it with the AW4 is bulletproof and the NP242 is decent, but can easily be changed out for a NP231 or in my case 241OR out of a rubicon. Another good thing about the XJ as an expo vehicle is that it has the load bearing rear leafs but comfort/flex coils up front. Also Naxja is a great forum for everything XJ.

Here is my heep from this weekend: http://whereismatus.com/devils-highway/#jp-carousel-1338 more in the other photos following.

Between the 2, Id also vote for the XJ. Cheaper to modify and it has a good amount of cargo room. Easy decision.
