Need some MIME-type plug-in help for a MAC.

Ok, so this isn't necessarily GPS related but I wasn't sure where else to post.

My problem is on certain webpages and emails that I receive I keep getting this blue lego block looking thing with a ? in the middle of it. I have tried downloading a few different plug-ins but none seem to work.

I'm sure this is a pretty easy fix but for some reason it is stumping me. Can someone throw me a bone? TIA.
