New 2010 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere!

I can't believe this! We hardly ever get new adventure style bikes any more....so this is great news!

I'd also like to see a Yamaha XT650....(Not holding my breath!!)

the small tenere is a bike i would buy if it was available here, and its cool to see highland trying to make a comeback. they were cool bikes back in the day, maybe just ahead of theyre time what being maybe 10 yrs ahead of the big KTM.
the company is a neat concept, having bought into a similar company with ATK, they were working on a deal to co-produce the highland, and hopefully still are with a 650cc single version of that engine.

that was sarcasm sled rider,,,, meaning i dont see anything resembling the dakar heritage,,, same thing happened to the africa twin. at least cagiva had the decency to rename the bike when it lost its dakar resemblance.

The 1200 is a bit big for the type of riding I like, but I'm glad it's available for folks that persuaded YAMAHA to get it here. Now, if we could use these powers of persuation to get this:

i really like the little tenere,,, there are a few in the states, but not for sale to the masses, dont know what that may mean but it aint right i say. so many bikes would sell good enough to make it worth bringing them over.

Pretty cool vid.....But that's probably as close to the bike as we'll get in the US.
