I’d like to offer a different perspective based on our experience with our 2018 Crux 1600. We bought this used 3 months ago and have done 800 miles off road in AZ this year and 600 here back home in OR recently. We trailered it back form AZ APRIL 1st and have had no problems. We’ve had it on horrible washboard and some pretty technical terrain and it’s been super capable and absolutely no quality issues. We got a super deal on ours and even though it was used, it showed no sign whatsoever of it having been used before we got it.
Customer service from the owner of Crux is non existent however as others have said. I’ve called the owner on the Crux ph number three times, left messages each time, never got a call back. Had to call Tuff Stuff as they use the same Chinese built trailers and fit them out slightly differently. They were super helpful so that might steer any interested customers to consider them over the Crux models. So far after over 3000 miles on road and off we couldn’t be happier. Good perspective. Ours was the same until we hit about 6k miles on ours. After that we started having electric problems, and water problems. I guess what I was most upset about was customer service. It was terrible. The few times I did get to talk to them I would get promised new parts under warranty and never see them. Also keep a check on your lug nuts and check the bolts from the suspension, they like to come loose regularly. Now that we got rid of ours and got a new trailer that’s not an issue. I hope that all the other owners who have this brand have better luck than we did.
