I'm not looking to buy new tires, as my BFG KO's still have 90% tread remaining. But browsing through tirerack, came across this new tire from Goodyear.

Any experiences with this tire? It lists as an all-terrain tire. Looks more aggressive than a typical AT. When it comes time to replace the KO's, I wanted to go a little more aggressive, but not MT. Looking forward to some reviews on this tire.

Also, good price at $134.

Well, my BFG KO's were ~$140, so they're not THAT "cheap." (price wise). Maybe I missed it, but can't see the details on the sidewalls...

I'm trying to decide between that tire and the Dunlop Radial Rover R/T in that same size. Some folks flog Dunlops, but I've had several sets on cars and trucks and they've always served me well. Have you considered the Dunlops, or eliminated them from consideration for any particular reason?

Dunlop Radial Rover R/T

I had a set of Dunlop R/Ts and had several sidewall punctures with them. Could have just been bad luck. I've had no problems with my BFGs. These GoodYears look interesting; especially against the BFG ATs

I'm looking at these as an option also... Either these, Goodyear Wrangler Authority, or Cooper ST's... All (I believe) are E rated...

I've been researching the Duratracs too. Good reviews on SUV and smaller truck forums for the Goodyears (Jeeps and Toyotas). The only negatives I've seen were from heavy full size trucks and from folks towing heavy loads, where they said the sidewalls were flexy. I would bet that for a lighter truck they would be fine in an E rating and the 235/85s are E rated.

Found this Toyota truck with the 235/85s mounted. Scroll down a bit. Has a couple of good pics of em mounted up.

Looking at tire rack and comparing 235/85s the duratracs look to have the widest tread width of the brands they carry.

Discount tire has em for $144 shipped to your door...
