I might know a buyer. He's looking for that size, but the no shipping thing might be an issue. He's in SoCal. I've shipped tires before, it's pretty easy. You call UPS, they send a truck to your house, slap a label on each tire, and they magically disappear. You don't even have to touch them.

If you don't have a local buyer in whatever time frame you have in mind, ping me.

That's a good price. I have the 35's on my Rubicon and they are a great tire. If they were for an 18" Rim I'd pick them up for my Titan.

On a side note....I think I was behind you in the drive-thru around lunch time today. Unless of course there are multiple, really well built FJ's cruising around the Valley with Expeditioneers decals :smiley_drive:

Question - Are these the same tires that you mention receiving here as part of a sponsorship with BF Goodrich?

BF Goodrich sent us some tires to use in 2009 as they will be official vehicle sponsors of Expeditioneers

We didn't expect them in Christmas but they got here right on time. Too bad they didn't fit under the tree.

I have some friends in AZ, who might be interested in them, but I don't want to steer them to someone selling something for nearly full retail price when that seller got them for a substantial discount or perhaps even for free... It just wouldn't be right.

Or is there a perfectly logical reason that you are selling a brand new set of tires that have never been mounted, which are identical to the ones you recently received from BFG? Seems odd but maybe there is...?

Yes sir, you are completely right. We did receive these tires as sponsorship from BF Goodrich. We did receive 3 sets of 5 tires each for our three vehicles. The problem is that the size we need for our 80 series in Bolivia was not available at the time. We need 255/85R16 in KM2s which production will start late February 2009. We have the other two sets on our FJ Cruisers and this set will be shipped to Bolivia once we can exchange the tires for the correct size. We are basically selling these tires to buy the new ones.

We could just buy 17 inch wheels for the 80 series, but in South America 16 inch is the most common size. If you blow two tires 1000 miles from the nearest tire shop, you would be in trouble. 17s are very scarse, 16s is the way to go.

And the price is not near full retail, it is 350 dollars cheaper when you add the tires, the tax, the disposal fees and other gimmicks.

Jack in the Box on Elliot and McClintock? If so, that was me ... black Expeditioneers FJ. I saw your Jeep in my review and took notice. Looks like a very nice rig. I waved after I did the u-turn, but you were talking to the guy in the window.

If this were mid-March, I'd probably pull the trigger; been contemplating a slightly bigger setup on the Tacoma. And I'm in Chandler. Wife would kill me for adding another set of tires to the garage, since I literally just got rid of the stockers for the Toy and a set for my M3 after both sat there for the past year-plus. LOL.

If they're not gone by middle of next month ...

:)
