New Addition to the Stable

I’ll be honest. I’m a toyota Guy. Always have been. Land Cruisers, Tundra, a Sequoia.

But I as always secretly jealous of you jeep guys running around tooless all the time.

So I did something about it. 45E3B617-7550-42CF-8FD9-62080964DA8D.png

It’s a 1998 TJ, Sahara edition. Has a hard top and a soft top, 33s, engine was supposedly rebuilt by owner prior to the one I bought it from.

Drove it from Brigham city, UT to Pocatello, ID with no problems (though the wind noise was impressive).

I will trailer it the rest of the way home (Oregon Coast)

Also, by way of introduction, I am a returning member, but lost my password and no longer had access to the email I set up.

This will be my weekend warrior, adventure, teach my kids to drive a manual rig

I think you will be Happy, especially if you're not concerned about the Sahara badging. That stuff is hard to come by for something that's just for looks.

Thanks. Discovering fun little things, like the back hatch obviously leaks (stuff is wet), the windshield/top weatherstripping obviously needs replaced (I know they are loud, but I shouldn’t have to yell)
Outside driver side door handle broke yesterday, I’m sure that it is a spring or a linkage of some sort inside the panel.

And I’m sure that is the tip of the iceberg

Welcome to the club! While the wealth of info here is mind boggling. Answers to problems, like your broken door handle, can easily be found on Jeep specific forums.

And you’ll always have to yell...

jeeps topless or with soft tops are great for long highway trips alone with your thoughts, no matter how many people are with you.
