David, you will love this guy's (Steve Eagan - owner of CBI) work. On time, within your budget and great welds and superior customer service. I have never seen a guy that welds this good. He has made me a custom rear bumper with dual swing outs (fuel/water and spare tire) and 360 degree telescopic light pole. He has made a custom larger main fuel tank (90L increased to 160 L) for my old 73 series. As well as numerous little jobs to fix things or improve things.

Thanks Jan,

yeah, I've talked to Steve a couple of times about a rear bumper. Don't really know exactly what I want yet. Cans on bumper? Cans on bumper with swingout? Tire on back of truck? etc.

I may be leaning this way because I want to outfit the truck to sleep in the bed. Right now my spare is in there. Have to move it somewhere and it won't fit in the stock position. Oh well.

Had to find some pics of your rig to check out the carrier you had made. Really looks great. So does your 77. I wish we had more options here. It is amazing what types of vehicles are all around, except for in the U.S. Really saw a lot of cool rigs when we were in Australia this past October.

David, here is some photos of the build of the bumper and if you search through (go back one level to photos) the fuel tank (Idaho Falls, ID) is there as well as other generation of rear bumpers (Tucson). Lucky you to go to OZ, I am still in the planning phase for the future.

Like it lots and love my CBI rear bumper.

Maybe after Steve is finished with this project he can make a front bumper for the 4th & 5th Gen 4Runners.

Thanks for the info Jan. I heading to that post right now.

OZ was soooo awesome! I have procrastinated badly and haven't done a trip report yet, but it is in the works. One downside I find to taking photos digitally is that now I have a thousand or so photos to go through!

That's why I post mine upon that site..25 GB of free storage! compared to others that want $ for 5GB.

Ok, checked out the bumper build. All I can say is wow! Those welds!

Exactly!

Hey guys.... Thanks for the comments. We will have new pictures up by Friday of a couple of different top tube designs as well. And it will be all welded and sanded with the recovery points and lower skid plate on as well. It will be done basically. We are going to fit it back on my truck to show the fit in detail. And if anyone is liking my tube front bumper, I think I need to sell it to put this new plate one on and sell my rear tube to put the new BushMaster2.0 on the back......

And those welds.....I will never get tired of looking at them. Just hate to see him have to sand them down on all the plate work!

Awesome!

Could you please post a picture of the BushMaster 2.0. I was looking on the CBI site but couldn't figure out if it was on there.

Thank you
