Well UPS showed up today and brought me some toys from Cabelas and REI.
First up is the Coleman all in on stoves. The construction and thought process in these seem to be well thought out. one stove comes with a griddle, BBQ, and cook top for pots and pans. I bought 2 so i can BBQ on one and cook mac and cheese on the other or as my wife pointed out cook the hotcakes on one and bacon and eggs on the other. I think you get the picture of who cooks while we are camping. I bought these from REI for a few dollars cheaper than Cabelas or Bass Pro
Next up is the outhouse Trekker Fold A Privy. This things is pretty awesome. took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to fold it all up but now that I have done it 3-4 times it is sooo fast. the instructions are actually harder to read than it is to fold. Hold the wide end fold it in half grab that with one hand while grabbing a side. Twist the side and bring it all together and your done. Comes with some cheap stakes but I recommend upgrading. I plan to run guylines out from the 4 loops so the wind does not carry if off as it is really light as well. The one negative to this is that the top has mesh sides so if it rains, the rain can get in. I plan to have a small 6x6 piece of treated canvas to cover it and hook to the guy line loops. Price - $34 at Cabelas
The Dueter Kids comfort 2 kid carrier is awesome I tried it out with my daughter in it and it fit my fat gut and she seems comfy in it. had the wife get in it and adjusted it to her. She is really skinny and has a bad curve in her back. As she will usually have this on while is haul my camera equipment around I wanted to be sure it would work and she also gives this 2 thumbs up. at $119 from REI this is a must have if you have small children Add the rain/shade cover for $30 and you still save $20 on the next model up.
I also got the Luggable Loo toilet seat which I plan to add to a 7 gallon bucket. The 5 gallon that they usually come with just sits to low for me so the 7 gallon should work out great. not much more I can add to that except do not over work the seat back as they are not real tough. the price - $12. compare that to the PETT toilet at $80 and I think I made the right choice.
