New Cargo Management System

This project has taken around 100 hours of rewarding labor over the past few months but I think it was worth it.

Whole thing started on my last outing when I was frustrated with not being able to easily reach anything in the cargo area, atleast not past the wheel wells. Plus I just couldnt keep things from shifting around. So a cargo organizer with deep drawers was necessary. So thanks to Expo & Mud I found a number of ideas that I wanted to incorporate. eBay was a huge help too..... the slides, tie downs, inverter, complete OBA set-up, and all the electrical do dads all came from there at huge savings.... the 500# slides alone would normally be $75-100 each... I scored them for $80 for the set of 4. The drawer handles/locks came from Allegis.com. The whole box is made from 3/4" pirch plywood and every inch was treated with either Line-X or a clear conversion varnish to protect from moisture issues.

This description could go on forever so I'll just let the pics speak for themselves....

And a teaser pic of my current project.... anyone have a guess what it is??

door speaker panel?

Yep..... Utilizing the factory pocket location. Allowing me to add a 3-way component speaker system to the doors with out loosing more then 3/4" in legroom. Going to be Line-X'd as well.... though I will also be painting it to be color matched to the door.

Well Done!!! Very nicely constructed, finished and detailed. The integration is outstanding.

Fantastic! I have often heard rumors that Line X off gases and should not be used on the interior. I don't want to believe this as I am a fan. Have you noticed any lasting smell issues or have you noticed any filming on the side glass?

The first few days were smelly... but I think that may have been amplified by the fact that they were rather warm days. I just made sure to leave all my windows cracked for a few days. No film noticed on the interior glass. Since those first odorous days I haven't found one downfall to using the Line-X inside...

 wow, that's clean dude.

I love the incorporation of the sound system. I'd love to include some clean bass to my tunes.

More pictures can answer these questions :)
How is it anchored to the vehicle?

What type of drawer interior dimensions are you left with after the sound system?

Where do you access the compressed air? Or is it just for lockers?

Hello - This is outstanding great work!

If possible I do have a few questions and would love to see more pictures of the build if you have them.

How is it anchored? Are the tie downs just screwed to the plywood? What prep work is required to make the birch plywood suitable for Line-x? Does it have to be primered?

I never thought to look on Ebay for the drawer slides, but a search came back with 1800 hits.
I haven't seen any really heavy duty slides yet, but 100 pounders will work for my next project just fine. :D
