New Colorad Camper Van Top .. I love it

After recent comments I would like to offer up a different view after my recent install/purchase of a CCV top on my 06' E350.

A year ago my friend had his top installed and after seeing it up close I was convinced that this would fit our needs for Ski trips/hunting trips and Mt. Biking trips. I heard it might take a while to reach them but after my first phone call Matt changed my preconceived expectations.

Matt walked me through the process and the time it would take so we pulled the trigger and put a deposit down to nudge the bumper into the line up. During the wait period I called Matt often adding things to the wish list and each time he sent a up dated quote/bill. He was responsive whenever I needed it. On the drive down my 6 liter crapped the oil cooler in Wyoming and added a huge line item to the van I was not ready for. I called Matt right away and let him know that my Aug 1st arrival would be delayed for 2 weeks. He thanked me for the call and moved me on the line-up to the 15th. Due to the expensive repair I called Matt again and had him remove a few things that I really wanted but just could not justify [interior work cabinets etc.] after spending money under the hood. Matt understood and sent me a new quote/bill and said they would get the van wrapped up by the end of Aug in time for the big move / labor day weekend.

I arrived, the top was popped up we ran through all the features of the top and the solar that I had installed. The fit and finish is great and I can see the improvement from over a year ago on my friends van. Very happy with what I saw and when driving home through CO/UT/ID/OR to Washington and 4 nights in my excitement only grew. This will be well used and the wife was super excited to see it when I finally made home.

Thank you Matt for making an expensive toy a joy to spend money on.

Good to hear. I think the semi-high fiberglass top combined with the pop top is brilliant. Having room to stand with the top in the down position, plus being able to raise it for a big bedroom is awesome.

Happy (honest!) you had a good experience, but it still wouldn't persuade me to ever take that particular risk given the not so good experiences...
I'll stick to gambling in Vegas where I get "free" drinks for my dollars.

Yeah, I'm with you... the waitresses are probably easier on the eyes too.

SS- Also happy to hear you had a good experience. I've spoken to Matt before, back when I was considering CCV, he actually was very open and honest and helped me realize it wasn't for me with that price tag.

back from elk camp

having issues loading pics. this is the only one that will load. CCV may not be for everyone due to cost but I thought I would just add my 2 cents that things there are better and my top is great. Really enjoyed it this last weekend at elk camp, solar package kept fridge, lights and heater running without having to plug into a current bush.

more pics when I figure this site out better.
