New Ford Tremor

You can carry 5 gal buckets behind my '07 Dodge regcab.
I love the looks and diesel availability of the Global Ford Ranger.
Never been a fan of the rubber band tires aside from on the Pimp my Ride show. I saw an Escalade yesterday w/ 40 series sidewalls. I didn't realize they were offered.

I was just curious. Thought Ford fleet sales are more like 32%?

The Ridgeline is a completely different animal to a F150 though. Would think it is closer to the Toyota Tacoma DCSB, Ford Sport Trac or the GM Avalanche, do you know what are those sales numbers are off-hand compared to the Ridgeline?

Toyota does not release Tacoma numbers by cab configuration. Toyota sold 141K Tacomas here last year. If all three cab styles are split equally, then perhaps 45,000 of those are Double Cabs. No way to be sure. Certainly more than 14K.

Ford never released Sport Trac figures separately from Explorers. And they stopped making them over 3 years ago. So they must not have been a big seller in Ford's eyes.

GM sold about 28K Avalanche/EXTs last year and is on pace for more this year. Still, they are killing it after this model year due to poor sales....still double that of the Ridgeline. That should tell you something.

I read the entire thread and am yet to see any REAL point to it, only a bunch of comparing apples to grapes....

What is the point of your post? To get us back on track comparing all of the V6 twin turbo regular cab short box half ton trucks on the marketplace today? Tremor. Done. Everything else is grapes

And that's why the term is 'thread'

You're kidding right? Last year they only sold 14K of them, and they're on similar pace this year. GM sold a lot more VOLTs than that!!
Ford sells almost FIFTY TIMES that number of F-series.
The Ridgeline is the worst selling pickup made today, and the worst selling in the last decade.
Just facts, not even mentioning an opinion of the truck.

I said for a Honda, not anyone else. I thought they were holding at 20K a year. Probably will be another Honda orphan sooner than later. Whether you like them or not, they are one of the first to have 4WIS. That's all I was saying. While it wasn't a body on rails truck, it was a monocoque chassis that was very rigid.

I wonder how much longer we will get body on rails type trucks for consumer market.

Point of the Tremor?

Guessing their target consumers are the Ford Lightening guys, not my cup of tea...but hey whatever sells.

Thanks.

Those things must be too much of a middle ground vehicle, mediocre at everything.

True, but the FX4 package versions "could" be a poor mans Raptor. Emphasis on "could" depending on list price.

it wouldn't be too bad with a 2.5-3" coilover lift...17" rims and 35" tires.

Would take a Tundra over it, if I was going to do a RCSB pick-em-up truck, simply because of that storage space behind the seats on the RC Tundras. (not a Ford vs. Toyota thing ;) )...and really
who wants to own a Ford F150!? Everyone and their brother, mother, sister, father's owns one of those. What is the math on that Kaisen?

You have seen the youtube videos of "raptor" owners trying to jump their oh-so-prestigious hunks of steel right? You couldn't pay me to own one of those hideous things.

Oh what a bunch of malarky! :p You would take it and sell it and build your dream Jeep! :D

What is the resale value of a "just driven off the lot" Raptor going for these days??
