New guy tent question

Hi all new guy here, I’m looking to get into this style of camping. Right now I have a pop-up which the family loves the jeep however does not. I’m trying to convince the wife to going back to tent camping. While at Dicks we saw a large canopy with a shade awning that also had a kit that converted it into a tent. I’ve done some searching but nothing really on this topic exactly (unless I’m searching on the wrong keyword) has anyone had any experience with these are they not worth it, the idea was that it would be easy to set up and take down plus big enough for cots the wife doesn’t want to sleep on the ground.
Here is an example of what I’m talking aboutnot the one at dicks. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...107&hasJS=true

Again I’m looking at it mainly because it looks as though it would be easy to set up and take down, I’m a little concerned about how it would do in the wind.

The link doesn't work. At least for me.... It just goes to Cabela's main page.

If you are talking about one of the ez-up type canopies, I had one that I bought off of eBay, complete with walls. Probably not quite as good of quality as the name-brand one. When we were running a tablesaw in the driveway I brought it out, and bungied two opposite corners to toolboxes to keep it from blowing away. Well, it didn't take much wind to twist the frame and ruin the thing.

Like I said, mine was a cheaper imitation, but if you are looking at the ez-up type, I would certainly suggest staking it down well, and avoiding high winds.

Also, at least on mine, the add-on walls didn't make it mosquito-proof.

We have a big honkin' Kelty dome tent that holds a queen-sized matress with room to spare. I really like it. It holds up will in the wind, is mosquito-proof, you can stand up in it, etc. etc.

--This concept allows you to sleep in BOTH the tent and vehicle, I'm not sure if JEEP wll accept a tent of this type, but we have camped with my wife and I (we sleep in the X) and 4 youngun's sleeping in the tent--

--You might check out different MFG for a HATCH TENT !!!
